k, so, i have an x800xl and i have it set up on dual monitors
both of the monitors are identical crt's and i found out that they both go up to 1520x1140 resolution
i have the one set up fine, but the monitor on the secondary output, which is connected via a D-SUB-to-DVI converter, will only go up to 1280x1024 in the display properties' settings tab. is this a limitation on the card itself, the drivers (omega 2.6.87), or is windows xp fucking with me?

I updated my drivers, and now the monitors won't go to 1520x1140. It says 'out of frequency range'

Reduce the vertical frequency, maybe your monitor can't do 1520x1140@70Hz, but @60Hz. If you are absolutely sure about your monitor's parameters get PowerStrip and make a custom .inf-File.
What fucked up res is 1520x1140 anyway ???????????

Also, try disabling the automatic detection of plug and play monitors.

Plug and play monitors are the shittiest idea companies could come up with in their crusade for the easy-weasy luser shit. Look, plug and play, lolz! Now I open my intarweb (the 'e' logo) and search MSN for cool screensavers!!!!
Tell your OS you have a super monitor. Then use nVidia's drivers or a decent utility like PowerStrip to set whatever mode you want and you know you can support.
