I'm typing along and all of a sudden some keys stop working. Lately this has been happening alot. For instance with the num lock on, all keys in the num pad section work except for -. But it wasn't permanent. Sometimes the backspace key stops working. What's the deal? Do I have a keylogger or something running on my system?

Even a shitty cheap keyboard should last more than a year, but I guess it depends on how well you take care of it. Is it full of cookie crumbs and dust and hair? If so, clean it. Otherwise, it really may be broken. If you have any spare keyboards lying around then try using one of those to see if the problem really was in the keyboard or the system.

There's no crap in it. It was cleaned recently actually.
A weird think i noticed that I forgot to mention. When I hit the - and saw that nothing came out, I held it down for a bit. Still nothing. Then I typed some numbers to see if it was frozen, but those came out just fine. A little bit after that a bunch of - appeared after the numbers.
