DL cap evasion

I just moved to a new university and they have download caps across there server.  60k up/down  They also try to disable torrents, but Azureus' decentralized tracking works around that (I think, but this is another matter.)

I was wondering if there was a trick around this?

Around the caps? No, there's not.

A cap is physical. Unless you have access to the server you cannot change it, no one can change it. Furthermore, if you could change it, it would be illegal to.

They can't "disable torrents," only the ports they use to function. Most probably they did not open port 6881 for you to download porn through. If you find out which ports ARE open, you can try to customize Azureus to use those, though they may be in use by other services. There are plenty of port-testing sites, I couldn't find any to do all 65000 in one sweep though.
