Huge computer issue.

Uh, I've never posted in here before.  Not sure if it's the right place to post or not.  So excuse me if I screw up.

I'm running Windows XP, the computer can't be more than 5 months old.

Everytime I restart or turn off the computer and get back on later or whenever, it blocks the USB port for my keyboard.  So, I had to switch USB ports, problem solved, right?  No.  It's like a giant puzzle now.  If I plug it back into a USB port I've used the keyboard on before, it won't work.  So I have to put the keyboard in a USB port I haven't plugged it into yet.  Well, I've ran out of USB ports to use.  I've tried other keyboards, even a brand-new one of the same model.  They all do the same thing, if a keyboard was in the USB port before, it won't work.  I'm on my last USB port, and I need some help.  It's obviously the computer and not the keyboard, I know this much.  I didn't mess with anything, it just started happening when I woke up one day and turned the computer on.  Could anyone possibly help before I have to resort to the computer company's customer support?

It's Windows. There is no logic behind it.
But you can try to remove the usb drivers and Windows will notice it and reinstall them with the WinXP install disc. I'm using linux so I don't know exactly were it is, but go to the device manager and somewhere there you can remove/reinstall them.

Hope that helps.
