For those of you who are old enough to pay for your own cable, do you know if it is possible to only have cable internet w/out cable tv? Frankly, I just don't use cable tv, but I've have been told before if I cancel tv, internet goes as well, even though the charges are separate. I'm obviously talking about Cox, but other cable provider experiences could be useful.

In my experience, though, you will most likely have to pay more for cable (internet) if you don't have cable TV. The way my ISP runs it is you get a cheaper price for internet if you have cable TV as well, so it's actually more worthwhile to get both.

i originally only purchased cable internet with Cox, but because it was only 10 bucks a month more for basic channels i went ahead and got that too. yay for mythbusters and dirty jobs, the only thing keeping my 10 bucks going to cox! also worth noting, 50 for 9down 1up :)

where do you live? I pay Cox 40 for 4MB/400KB and 20 for basic that sounds more basic than your basic cuz i don't think we get either of those shows.
>>15 is an amerikkkan who wouldn't be able to find "Yurop" in a world map anyways. In fact, last time he asked a fellow amerikkkan for a "world map" he got an USA map which includes Canada.
