Work/Travel Laptop

I'm needing a laptop. I don't have too much to spend, but I need it to be a powerfull enough for me to do any 3D art work. Any suggestions? What really matters hardware wise when it comes to something like this? I also need it to be OK, if not good, for travel. I don't plan to be doing much, but I want to be prepared. I may be making a few road trips if I get a job I'm negotiating atm.

If it matters, my main tools of use are ZBrush2 and 3D Studio. I also do enjoy a few games of some of the ole half life mods. :)

Uh... this seems contradictory here.

Laptops are shit for modeling because their gfx cards suck, and they'll melt a puddle in the floor if you render anything.

If you want something as beefy as 3D art work on a laptop, you'll have to sacrfice portability for it...it'll be a big one to lug around, that's for sure. But it might be a trade-off you're willing to take.

Ok. In that case, fuck portability. It was never something that was really an issue. Just would have been nice.
