Ebooks

Does anyone know of a good place to get ebooks from these days?

There used to be a big irc server called bookwarez, which is now gone.
Is there anything like that around anymore?

try http://www.xpressionsz.com/

you should really just google around, most ebooks are uploaded to rapidshare and other similar places.

Cheers mate. That site has some interesting stuff.
It's hard to google around for this sort of stuff though. I've tried and haven't found that many interesting sites.

I kinda regret the days of IRC. So many fservs, you could just pop in, @find some random keyword and you'd discover loads of stuff related to what you wanted, and sometimes something new.

More specifically, these days, I'm looking for ebooks on how to start/run a coffee house. But I yearn for a good ebook repository like there were in the days of yon...

Did you try to check usenet? They might have some stuff on binary groups.

Check groups.google.com

bookwarez never went away, just the domain died. use irc.nullus.net

Curb your enthusiasm, it's nowhere as populated as before.

there are less leachers and less fservs, but all the books that were there before should still be there. and tons more.

Currently 4 Fservs on #bw (which is linked to by #bookwarez), and they don't have all that many books.

Is there someplace else you are looking?

Books? Piles and piles of them?

#bookz

Figure out the network yourself.

On irc.nullus.net ?
The channel #bookz is empty, man.

If the channel is empty, it means it doesn't exist and you just created one by that name.

fucking rapidshare. they got the bookwarez scene hooked on it and now it's continiuously busy unless you get a "premium account". fuck.

Yeah but you can't search Rapidshare, can you? How do people find them on rapidshare?

ok, try this one http://betah.co.il/

it was working a bit earlier, but theres db errors (sound familiar?), so try later. they also seem to have stuff other than IT.
