looking for a good dvd burner under 100 bux, any suggestions? i havent the slightest clue whats good or bad when it comes to dvd's on computers.

you can find a lot of good dvd burners around the ~100 USD mark. and most are below 100 USD :)

Lite-ON optical drives use direct gear-to-gear mechanics instead of shitty cheap rubber bands, so they won't randomly die on you (at least, not in the same way most other drives would). They have the added benefit of being pretty cheap.
Just buy one on newegg unless you're really feeling like a cheap bastard and want to hit pricewatch.com

yeah lite-on drives are superior. also a-open and samsung.
just get something with good numbers, 16x write 4x rw etc etc
