Wi-Fi

This is kind of a retarded question, but anyways:

I just recently got myself a new laptop with built in wi-fi.
We have our wireless hub on the otherside of the house and I got this laptop so I could connect to it from my bedroom. Unfortunately, the signal strength is weak and crappy.

Is there any way of enhancing the signal receiving strength on my laptop? I heard you can use antennas, but is that possible with built in wi-fi? If so, where would the antenna plug in?

you put the antennaes on the hub moron

The antennae on laptops with built-in WLAN are internal, usually inside the lid casing. If you know what you doing, you could open up the case and connect a different antenna to the WLAN card, but it's not going to be an elegant solution by any means. It would be much easier to put better antennae on the wireless hub instead.

You can also buy a wireless repeater and put halfway between the hub and your computer
