Stupid razen frasen motherboards.

I bought this new 200GB hard drive (samsung) to isntall for a friend the other day, but wehn we put it in the computer would only read it as a 32GB drive.  Took itout and put it in another computer and it sees it as a 200GB, so i format it and so forth and then put it back in the other machine, but it still only sees 32GB.  The other hard drive in there doesn't have this problem.

The only real way I can think of to resolve this is to update the motherboards drivers and so on.  But I don't know the make of the board, and it doesn't have any markings on it.  Anyone know of a program or method to find out the make/model of a board?

1- What OS?
2- who makes the HDD?

1- Samsung drives are shit.
2- get a controller card and stick it in a PCI slot.  Since this mobo has the 32GB limit, I will assume it's an EIDE, ATA100 or ATA133 hard drive.  These cards are like twenty bucks.

Fricken...  updated the bios, still nothing.  And seemingly having the same problem on the Intel winnipeg too.

Never.  Buying.  Samsung.  Ever.

The original board i was trying it on was an MSI KT4V, both machines running XP.  :(

Should probably mention that the intel board has a 120GB drive for its primary and the other has a 60GB drive.  So there isn't a hard limit at 32GB.
