DVD authoring

hey guys, what do you people use? I've got the works: avi, ogm, mkv.
Is there any authoring program that can do it all? or should I convert to avi w/ virtualdubmod, and use something, and in that case, what have you found to be the fastest?

recent data suggests that winAVI does, in fact, work with ogm and mkvs, and I've heard it's fast. Any input would still be appreciated, though.
