program to turn avi into mpeg

Name: Anonymous 2005-12-26 14:46

google for "tmpgenc "

Name: Anonymous 2005-12-26 18:48

TMPGenc doesn't do .mp4, does it?

Nero Recode will do it. Videora something or other too. Some FFmpeg frontend might.

what? you mean the sell ya $300+ product who's main highlight are its video capabilities and they dont offer any way to make your video files compatible?

thats pretty dam weak, was hoping to upload some beavis and butthead when mine it arrived

$30 Quicktime Pro should convert any media file into file formats usable on an iPod. I bought the program for a friend hoping to put animu (lol narutard) on her iPod, so far it's working well.

got the pro but never found out how to turn a file into .mp4 can anyone tell me how?

something i found strange about that ipod is that says it can play mov files, but all the mov music videos i have keep getting rejected

aw dam found out how but the quicktime freezes when i try to open an avi with it

I would suggest returning that ipod and getting something like a mini-laptop if you want something that's actually going to be useful on the road out of your pocket.

Main reason I hate PDAs and ipods is the time it takes to bridge the file format gaps between them with conversion programs.

- Download Azureus (requires a Java app download as well) or a bittorrent client of your choosing.
- Search google for bittorrent sites, download Quicktime (newer version) and look for a prog called "PQ DVD to iPod Video Converter". Anouther good torrent to download are the ipod program bundles.
- "PQ DVD to iPod Video Converter" has worked exellently for me. It's effective and simple, although like any converter...it takes long as fuck.

Take his advice. Also, videos burn up ipod's battery like a hungry whore who found your crack stash.
