PAL format in a DC 10 from pinnacle?

I have a problem with a TV tunner a friend of mine bought a long ago... it is a Pinnacle DC10, it was suppoused to work with both, ntsc and pal, but I couldnt make it work correctly with pal.
The video looks good, with the correct frame rate and everything, but it is in black and white...
does any of you know if there is a firmaware upgrade to fix this, or anything... I tried google and pinnacle homepage, but I couldnt find anything aside from a few post from people with the same problems...

I have the same problem here.

Bought a new LCD TV which works as a pc monitor as well.
Some DC games work great but others don't. Just black and white (Grandia II for example).
If it's not possible to get it working correctly, maybe someone knows some workarounds? Like plug the DC to another slot or something?
