explorer link history question

everytime i start typing an address in the explorer it opens up a small history of links ive already visited under the address bar? anyone knows how to get rid of it?

Don't use MSIE, unless you have a vested desire to collect malware and reinstall Windows every 1-6 months. 90% of the times I've seen friends or Anonymous having to reinstall Windows 2000 or Windows XP it was because of using Internet Explorer.

In Opera:
Preferences > Advanced > History > Typed in addresses.
From there, you can 'Clear' them once, or set to zero permanently.
