Bluetooth

What's the best option to support Bluetooth? Are there mobos with Bluetooth incorporated? How good are these USB adapters? Thanks in advance

Yeah, there are motherboards that have Bluetooth built in already. The MSI KT3 Ultra2-BR is one example. Bluetooth USB adapters are highly variable, and mostly crap - the few I've tested had such seriously bad drivers that at best they barely worked (and caused annoying option boxes to appear on every boot), and at worst bluescreened all over the place. But go with USB - if you buy a motherboard with Bluetooth in and it sucks, you've got to return the entire m/b. If you buy a crap USB Bluetooth dongle, you can take it back to the shop.

Yea some of the bluetooth usb are annoying. Like this kensington bluetooth usb adpater I have it works great but I can't seem to get rid of the icon on the desktop and I can't get rid of it from startup either. I would have to go and disable it in msconfig to get rid of it on startup, which is not really that fun. But yea USB are easier to replace then a motherboard.

I have an ULTRA bluetooth USB that works without a hitch. The desktop icon can be disabled with simple programs, Microsoft's TweakUI, part of it's free powertoys, pops in mind immediately. Biggest issue I have with onboard bluetooth is that some cases shield some of the signal and reduce range, though that varies from case to case, board to board.

I had the logitech MX5000, it used bluetooth and was too laggy to even use. It had a USB dongle for bluetooth, is it possible that replaceing the dongle may of made it useable?
