Hey there, can anyone help me?

i want to put leds in my laptop, its a compaq evo n800v.
The speakers is in the front of the laptop and i thought i'd put some blue lightdiods under them, but i don't know where to connect them. anyone who knows how to do it ?

If you just want them to light while the machine is on, wire them in parallel with the power indicator LED.

can you connect them to the speaker cable ? will it flash with the music ?

No, don't do that. The currents/voltages sent to tiny laptop speakers won't be high enough to drive the LEDs, and even if they did they wouldn't "pulse" like disco lights anyway - you need proper sound-to-light electronics for that, which take the music, analyse the beat (the bass frequencies, typically) and trigger the lights to flash in time to the music. Much more complex - you'd need to build a sound-to-light module that is compact enough to fit somewhere inside what is, like all laptops, already a jam-packed case, then wire it in to both the audio output and the laptop's power circuitry (to power the extra electronics). That's a pretty tall order, and not the sort of thing that can be achieved easily with home equipment - you're talking custom PCBs here.
