Is there a way to change the resolution that flash videos play at? I think mine is always stuck at 800x600 when I want it to be 1024x768, because whenever I watch one, I can always see where the sides of the video end.
It's annoying (in the flash animation) when objects or sprites go off the side and I can still see them 0_o

You can't change the resolution, but you can manually resize the window it plays in. That's about all you can do.

Flash movies are generally meant to be played embedded within web pages, which both define the exact sizes of the Flash, and crop the edges so parked sprites, etc. can't be seen. You can't change that, short of writing your own pages to display them differently (with both the .swf and .html files stored locally). The standalone Flash player that comes with Flash (the creation software, not the browser plugin) is okay for resizing stuff (but doesn't maintain window aspect ratio, so you can still see off the edges if you change the aspect when resizing), or you could try Media Player Classic, which also plays back .swf files and can change their sizes.

thank you :)
Also Quicktime opens them with proper size too.
