My fren has a 1 gig sony flash drive. But something happened and it's not working. When he inserts it, the computer recognises it and puts a icon in my computer. but whenever he double clicks on it, it says "please enter drive", another of my fren also has a similar problem.. how do i resolve it?

Try going into DOS and accessing it through the drive letter and see what DOS tells you. If it says "Device not ready" or something you may need to wipe the drive.

needs a format, definitely.
you may have to use sony's firmware-upgrade formatting software (if it exists) if the DOS/win format fails.

Well, I had a look in the web for same problems and it looks like the drive is a ebay fake, so I doubt the official sony whatever would work. I haven't tried dos yet, but whenever I try right click ->format it still gives me the "insert drive" message.
