Jumpy MX1000

Name: Anonymous 2005-11-01 8:56

Ok, so I got a Logitech MX 1000 about half a year ago and absolutely love it.
Then I got a hardware upgrade a month or so ago, and ever since it's been jumpy. Every now and then it jumps up 2 cm.

I tried moving the reciever, I reset it, installed new drivers, installed old drivers, cleaned it, you name it. Nothing helps.

Could this be a simple hardware conflict, or is the mouse/reciever broken? Or does anyone have another solution?

Have you dropped it and shit to it? Does it rattle or something that says its broke?
Either replace it, or try and fix it, or its just not liked by your new hardware, which would blow. :(

you should see if this happens on a live Linux CD. The Windows XP OS itself seems to have some issues with recieving mouse information sometimes. Just a thought, just to rule out software.

Slax is 100-200MB as opposed to full ISO.

I don't think it's the OS. This is the first time I hear of Windows XP having this kind of trouble.
