Hi Guys,
i wanna wait till new better video cards coming out like Geforce 7800 Ultra i know i made that one up but when should i wait until i build a good comp this will be my 1st and im poor person so should i wait like an year until prices drop or what??

If you keep waiting for the prices to drop you'll be waiting forever. There's always going to be something better (and more expensive) coming along, so you've got to jump on the wagon at some point.

Now is a pretty good time to jump in. Depending on how poor you are, you can go for the older generation of high-end video cards and the older generation of high-end processors. Everyone is selling theirs now for the newer stuff, so check out eBay.

The finest truth you can learn in the hardware world is that the greatest enthusiasts are junkyard traders, not millionaires. The GF4600 still contends pretty well with the latest, but you won't have the newest features in video.

concluded: this is an optimal time to buy a card.

You should stop worrying so fucking much about having the latest "l33t haxx0r" graphics card. Today's cutting-edge model is next year's bargain bin item. Get one that's in a good price range and does what you want it to do. The RAM, CPU, and buses are much more important when it comes to performance.

If you don't know much about graphics cards, grab a cheaper one and then upgrade to a l33t ha><0r one once you are crying because your games don't run nicely. The really cool cards are often 2x, 3x, 4x... more expensive than a cheaper one.

you are poor and you want to get a 7800 ultra? (which right now is canned btw) hahahahahaha
