.Ogg to .mp3 convertor?

Name: Anonymous 2005-10-07 4:12

As the subject would suggest, does anyone know where I can
get a .ogg to .mp3 convertor? dbPoweramp does the opposite (mp3 to ogg).

I have a couple ogg songs that I'd like to send to a mix CD,
but, well, I need them in .mp3 format.

Thanks ^_^

go get the ACID 5.0 demo, it will do it fine.

You're doing it WRONG :P

Right way is audio master or MP3 to OGG Vorbis.

Winamp has a transcoder. www.winamp.com Search plugins for Winamp transcoder. If Winamp can play it, it can transcode it. It's really useful and loads faster than Acid. :D

It doesn't really help me most of the time because if Winamp already plays it, I leave it alone.

Try dBpowerAMP Music COnvertor.

Get a CD burning program that handles OGG natively, or convert the OGG to WAV and then burn that. Converting OGG to MP3 will introduce compression artifacts.

IMHO the easiest way to convert any format to another is using foobar2000. Properly set up the converter, right click the file -> convert.

Whatever you do, you still have artifacts from uncompressing and then recompressing, amirite?

rite

Use dBpowerAMP.  The program is a breeze to use and is not bloated.  Their website provides all the codecs you need and documentation is superb.  Freeware.
