Killing WMP in Explorer?

I'm fairly certain that there is a .dll or a registry key that you can remove that disable WMP from attempting to "preview" your media files on the side in Explorer. I just don't know what, or where. Googling isn't really much of a help, as you get damn near everything you don't need.

What .dll or reg key do I remove?

run REGSVR32 /u SHMEDIA.DLL

to reverse remove the /u
