Need new mp3/music player

Ive been using itunes and with the new ver5.0.1 my ipod shuffle isnt able to load anymore. Tried troubleshoot guides/reinstalling software still not working. So i just use eph pod to load my songs onto my ipod now.

Anyways i am tired of using itunes, it always used up most of my pc memory and took forever to load. But it had a search function which is very useful and could also support japanese characters.

Can anyone reccomend a good music player that has a search function, japanese character support, and one that doesnt hog up all your ram on your pc like i tunes did.

If you have the time to kill and willing to master a steep learning curve, foobar fits the bill quite nicely.  foobar does full unicode (I have no problems with C/J/K encodings) and its built-in database handles basic searching.  You can add components, like playlist tree that lets you save live queries that refresh in realtime.  Has a iPod plugin too.  Basic foobar is very lean, but can get fat very quickly if you keep adding components you don't need.

I use Winamp.  Excellent plugin support, compatable with shoutcast music and tv.

Apple shit sux. Use Winamp (5.x with 2.x skins) and Media Player Classic with ffdshow. Get rid of anything Apple as soon as you can, they're slow, crappy, buggy, more bloated than Microsoft stuff, and they tend to screw your system up. Get QuickTime Alternative and Real Alternative (Real isn't much better either) too, so you can play stuff in a standard DirectShow way with a decent player.

If you want to talk sucking shit, so does winamp. Get over it.

basically every media player sucks in their own way.
