MPC and Zoomplayer. Load something up, get a blank screen. Timer stays at 00:00.

Uninstall all your codecs, get rid of any codec pack, DivX, XviD, Windows Media Player, etc., then install ffdshow.

Yeah, I've had ffdshow for ages and no problems. Not totally sure of an issue of cluttered codecs but I'll give it a try.
