Is this a browser exploit URL?

Name: Anonymous 2005-03-01 6:28

Just found it on another forum I visit. Doesn't appear to be the address for what was described (an eBay item). I clicked on it without checking it first and it goes through about 4 redirects before going through to eBay. Nothing untoward appeared to happen (I'm using Firefox 1.01), but I'm feeling uncomforable that my computer may have been compromised. Anyone more tech-savvy than I able to check it out?

>>3 are you stupid

you have full control of open source operating systems... linux bsd darwin whatever. if you fail to secure it properly its YOUR FAULT

closed-source operating systems like microsoft windows takes the security responsibility out of your hands and places it in the hands of a corporation. microsoft corporation has the worst security track-record ever... the delay in their response is the real killer

opensource operating systems just undergo the vuln/exploit/patch cycle much faster. people who are security responsible and armed with an opensource operating system are vastly safer than a microsoft customer
