my TDK indi external 4x usb just died a few hours ago.

anyone could recommend me a dvd writer that wont die in a year :/?

Don't get a Sony.  They're made by Lite-On in Hong Kong and the only difference is the badge on the case.

Lite-On drives aren't bad, exactly, it's just that they're not good enough to justify paying the Sony price.
