Wiring

Part of the phone wiring at my house is run externally, but looks just like plain ol' interior wire, and I suspect that its causing the majority of my DSL problems (like going out intermittently). I can't get any help from the phone company (one bitch even suggesting it was my NIC that was the problem) and I certainly can�t afford to hire someone to rewire the place. I was thinking maybe I could just put some type of EM shielding over the part that�s external. Any suggestions dear internet?

use a higher gauge outdoor wire just for your dsl, split it at the pole and run it through your window or something
