Linux thread

Linux is such an excellent operating system!
I especially like having my choice of window manager.
Right now, I am running FVWM.
What do you like or dislike about Linux?

Would anyone introduce me to a nice Linux OS (free)?  I've been thinking about trying Linux out for awhile now.
