Depressing comics.

Hey /co/,

I'm in need of some help. I have read all three books of The Walking Dead, just finished up The Killing Joke, Marvel Zombies, Arkham Asylum: ASHOSE, and I'm currently in the middle of The Long Halloween and Preacher: Gone to Texas. You can probably see where I'm going with this.

Are there any other comics out there that are dark, depressing, gory, etc? I saw a thread on Scarecrow a little while back, I think it was one of the Frank Miller comics, but wasn't 100% sure.

Ruins. It's a 2-part series set in the marvel universe where all the characters who get powers die a horrible death.

With the fantastic four, the Thing doesn't go on the ship, instead dr doom goes in his place. I forget what happens to dr doom and mr fantastic, but the flame guy burns to death from the inside and a blind sue only learns this when she trips over his dead body.

Cyclops and most of the other x-men are in a secure prison controlled by xaviour (now president of the US and sanctioning lots of bonbing runs on genosha). Cyclops has his eyes gouged out to stop the lasers from being a problem. Quicksilver had his limbs chopped off because he couldn't controll his speed.

Jean is the only one I remember not being in that prison, surviving as a prostitute. To the main character and Nick Fury she says "I'll do it better than anyone." Nick kills her, babbles something like "You see here, I don't know anything. I'm clean." Then he shoots himself.

It's quite depressing. You should be able to find it on /rs/.
