Name of guy who fights using a cane

I just recently remembered a cartoon about a guy who fought to retrieve, IIRC, art from people.  He wore a (I believe blue) cape and had a cane.  I believe there was also a buttler of some sorts too.  The cartoon was most likely French.  I cannot remember the name and have had no luck on Google.  All I can recall about the name is that his name was DuPont/DuPoint/LePoint/LePont or something similiar.

Has anyone else ever seen this series and/or know the name of it?

His name was Lapin (la pan), as in rabbit in French
