It's sad, Megatokyo fans are usually just as described. Most of them share little (if not the exact opposite) of the qualities displayed by the Piro character. Megatokyo fans aren't interested in the actual Piro character, or even relate to his experiences. Most of them find the character appealing because they fantasize about being him.
Sadly, though, his artwork is significantly better than the majority of the OEL Tokyo Pop "manga," although that's not really saying much.
