Transmetropolitan

I've read through the series in the ladst 3 days and just now I've finished the last volume of Transmetropolitan.
And I've gotta say.
I have never been this pleased by a comic book before.

Transmetropolitan is a master piece of comic storytelling (thank you Warren Ellis). It had scifi weirdness, a political conspiracy ( imho very close to what's going on in a nation we all know too well XD) and the most bad-ass motherfucker of a journalist ever to appear in printed media.
The ending by the way... OMFG. Sheer awesomeness if you ask me.

I also want to give credit to the artists for making at one time fun of japanese animation and manga instead of trying to imitate it, a miserable deed some of the other guys who draw the shiny little pics in our comic-book do to increase sales.

Anyway, discuss.

You do realize that Spider is at least partly based on Hunter S. Thompson... who may not be as cool as Spider, but is at least real.
