Steampunk?

Can I get some good steampunk titles?
The genre concept has a lot op potential, but I don't know where to start. Don't want to be discouraged by a bad start, dig?

Thanks :)

There is an anthology book that is simply titled "Steampunk"

Also... there was another great one that I forgot the title of.

Steampunk seems cool, but almost everything written for it is awful.

Maybe try Laviathan by Westerfield? I heard it was good, haven't read it myself though.

The Difference Engine is really not a good book at all.

The Dream of Perpetual Motion by Dexter Palmer is a good read.  It's fairly recent, too.  I think we'll be seeing some good work from him in the future.

Atlas Shrugged is by far the greatest steampunk novel ever written.
