Why do some books not have pictures in them.

We have the technology now to do it far easier, the same as we have more speakers for HI-FI setups now. So why don't more books have pictures? It can be a very quick way to get the reader to know what something looks like instead of describing it.

literacy breaks us free from the brainwashing work of our family and religion so i expect the first TXT book to be the bible cause the Koran is already in pictographs
