Assistance with character creation

I guess this is the closest board relevant to my question. I'm writing a story and I need a good name, and background possibly, for a corporate executive / media mogul type character.

An example if you're confused: If any of you have ever played the game Grand Theft Auto 3, you might remember that there was a character in the game named Donald Love, who the player got a few missions from at one point. In the game, the Donald Love character owned a television and radio company called Love Media, which had in-universe advertisements, billboards and other exposure outlets.

Another example that might be more concrete and palatable would be billionaire Richard Branson, who owns the Virgin Group venture capital conglomerate which has over 30 companies under its 'Virgin' brand.

I'm looking for something along those lines, a few ideas to toss around and manipulate for my own purposes. Can anyone help out, or point me to some resources that might be of use?

The background could be a place to start. Where is this (the story)? And where does this person come from? (This could suggest, even dictate, what language the name should be in)

Is he rich? If so, is it «old money», or «new money»? (This, too, can influence what type of name you're looking for.) Does he go by his birth name, or has he changed name at some point?

Does the story need him to know some peculiar/unexpected stuff? (1337 haxx0r skillz, hot-wiring, guns, etc.) Does he turn out to possess these skills? If so, where has he learned it? (Rogue family members, bad company, growing up in a rough neighbourhood, not really having grown up...)
Or just well-connected and not much else?
Something like "Lucien White".

It could also be a sort of subtle in-joke; 1337 skillz, "Julian Bernoulli"...

There's plenty more questions to be made up about him. Keep fiddling with it, and take notes.
