Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas the movie is almost word for word the book. I was actually sort of disappointed reading it because there wasn't anything really "new" in it.

Of Human Bondage and The Razor's Edge have both been made into movies repeatedly, but even Bill Murray couldn't bring the movie up to the level of the book.
