Ugh, I'm never reading the foreword to a novel again. The god damned author spoiled the ending before I had even begun the book! Why would you do that to your readers?!

This is why I skip all forewords. Also they are rarely interesting anyway.

I'd be raging too OP. Forewords are usually safe from that shit. Introductions on the other hand have burned me enough times that I avoid them till later, despite the natural urge to read a book from cover to cover.

I remember that, I read the book a few months ago. The ending still had some surprises, but you'd think they'd keep the spoilers at the end. It's not as if I bought the book to do an analysis of it.
