Wanting to start reading Vonnegut, I grabbed Galapagos from the Chapters near my house.
Bad choice?
It's sort of confusing when every stinking book of his that hey have all have the words "HIS BEST WORK" on the back.

Galapagos is a great start, sure...Player Piano, Cats Cradle, Slaughterhouse 5...there's no real "order" but those are the ones I'd recommend the highest.

First half of Cat's Cradle is hilarious. I highly recommend you read it, but keep in mind that it quickly becomes shit by the point he gets to the island. The reason for such a decline in quality must obviously be that it was his early work, if not first (I forgot what exactly). Still a worthwhile read, I'm sure.
I also read a bit of Slaughterhouse 5, it was shit. Breakfast of Champions was equally worthless. Haven't read anything else by him; I can believe these two are his worst novels, especially judging by how all the "professional critics" adore them so much.

7.5/10 Rage levels shot up fast, but you didn't sustain.

Don't agree with you on Cat's Cradle, I thoroughly loved it, but I did think Slaughterhouse 5 was a bit overrated.

I'm about halfway in now and really enjoying it. IF I wasn't already getting a large amount of books for Christmas I'd go grab some of his other books.
