Help finding a book

Hello /book/ I'm here to find the title/author of a book. When I was young my mother told me about a book she had once enjoyed where men would go back in time to hunt dinosaurs as a game.
To ensure that no one drastically altered the time-line dinosaurs that were okay to kill were marked. One of the men happens to step on a butterfly that isn't marked while hunting and when they return from the trip everything is in complete disarray.

I was wondering if anyone could help me find out what this book is called. I want to get it for my mother as a christmas gift.

Actually there is no book ever published that even remotely fits that description. Perhaps your mother dreamed she read it? Sorry.

"A Sound of Thunder", it's a short story by Ray Bradbury.

Well, I didn't actually know it was a short story, but when I heard the plot I immediately recalled the film that was based on it.
I liked the idea, but the movie was 'okay'. Looks like I'll have to read the original story as well.

Mmmmm, isn't there a Sir Arthur Conan Doyal book of something like that?
