A poem, let's discuss

My Poems...

My poems, written early, when I doubted
that I could ever play the poet’s part,
erupting, as though water from a fountain
or sparks from a petard,

and rushing as though little demons, senseless,
into a sanctuary, where incense spreads,
my poems about death and adolescence,
--that still remain unread! --

collecting dust in bookstores all this time,
where no one comes to carry them away,
my poems, like exquisite, precious wines,
will have their day!

Marina Tsvetaeva, 1913. A new author I recently found, wanna share an opinion?

I fucking hate the stupid bitch.

Why are all 20 century female poets such whores? Seriosuly, reading Tzvetaeva is like... i don't know what, like suddenly turning into a moderately ugly and stupid woman. It feels slightly annoying, yet ever so slightly horrifying. When women express themselves with actual talent, I get fucking scared how fucked in the head half the humanity actually is.

I'm supposed to review some poems written by members of my creative writing class. The first six poems were written by guys. They were okay. This batch, all females.
I don't know if it's the gender gap or what, but holy shit, I can't stand these poems.
Tsvetaeva makes them look good.
