A Heart of Darkness

I'm going to write a long paper for a project exam coming up in a few weeks. I have to combine 2 classes (in this case english and philosophy) and write about something, using both english and philosphy.

I thought about writing about A Heart of Darkness, a book a haven't read yet, but have planned to do at some point, but I am unsure if it is even worth using for an exam like this.

Question is, if some of you have read it, if I had to write a 10 page analyzation, etc, would A Heart of Darkness be a good choice of source material? If not, is there any other novels worth using? I also thought about writing about A Clockwork Orange because I have seen the movie and already have an idea about it's contents, but I'd rather write about A Heart...

Also, excuse my poor english.

It's Heart of Darkness, and it would be a great choice assuming you get it.  Anyway, even if you don't there's plenty of material out there, particularly when you mash it up with Apocalypse Now.  A Clockwork Orange would be great too; they're both all about good, evil, control, and free will, but given the assignment I wonder whether something by the existentialists would be easier.

I'd use Crime And Punishment.

I DO have a 13 page analysis by the title I'mperialism in HoD - The hypocrisy of white men'. It was not hard at all, the book is so cash.

the stranger by Camus is a good and quick little existential thought provoker. While I haven't read Utopia yet, that should work too. don't do a clockwork orange, it's used by so many people in so many places that it won't make you stand out if you write about it also chances are the teacher will be tired of it (even though it's awesome except for that gooey last chapter).

If you want more Burges the wanting seed might be a good choice, I say "might" because while it deals with some very relevant issues, I just don't like the novel... all my friends did so you could take a look at that too.
