I read Cat's Cradle, Slaughterhouse and Breakfast of Champions. Cat's Cradle starts fucking awesome, the desintegrates into pure early writer's work. Slaughterhous 5 takes itself too seriously for it's own good while not begin particularly inpressive, and Breakfast of Champions is too pretensious while also quite silly.

All three are still far from being bad, of course. Well written, good author that more or less knows what he's doing. But not REALLY FUCKING GREAT by any standard, unless anything tat mentions war or cancer is automatically classic for you.

Player Piano is very uneven. It suffers from the Brave New World "cool world-building, horrible plot" problem. The plot will literally come to a halt every couple of chapters for sub-plot about a racist stereotype Middle Eastern leader touring America. Also the books reeks of sexism.

My favs are the "Sirens of Titan" and "Slapstick"

If you already read slaughterhouse and cat's cradle, the only other popular vonnegut is Breakfast of Champions. Interestingly enough, Sirens of titan and slapstick aren't the most widely read vonnegut, which is weird to me, because they were my favorites of him the second I read them.

Kurt Vonnegut is a very strange author. Of his works that I've read, I think he's overrated as his works are far from classics. The plots are often uninteresting and always outright absurd. However, his books are entertaining.

Anyway, I've read:
Slaughterhouse Five
Breakfast of Champions
Sirens of Titan
Jailbird

Sirens of Titan, definitely.
