recently i fell in love with Louis-Ferdinand celine. His works combine his real life experiences and those his surreal thoughts that invoke his morbid views of life. are there any books like this? or any good non-fiction would do good expressing the authors views on life and society. doesnt have to be morbid like ferdinand's works were. i just find this style of free expression very fun to read.
thanks in advance /book/

Hell yes, Celine is amazing! Journey to the End of the Night remains one of my favourite books ever. Try John Fante, Bukowski, Sartre, Albert Camus and Knut Hamsun as well. I also think Kerouac and Ken Kesey were most likely big fans of Celine too.
I just wish Celine's books were easier and cheaper to get hold of!

yeh start with Buk's Ham On Rye or Post Office. Then move onto some of his short stories (which are superb btw) in Tales Of Ordinary Madness and The Most Beautiful Woman In Town.
