The catcher in the rye

So, I'm thinking of readin "The catcher in the rye". I heard it's a bit overrated. What are your thoughts on this book?

It's a comming of age story. And it is pretty overrated, depending on your tastes. To me, nothing of real interest happened in the story.

Go ahead and read it anyway, tho. It's a classic book that everybody's heard of, and is referenced all the time. It's short and easy. And who knows... maybe you will like it?
