Amazon now lists the release date for A Dance with Dragons as december 31st 2035.

I think this is a little too optimistic. Maybe if the bottom falls out of the toy knight market and the 2009-2035 nfl seasons are canceled this date may become realistic.

In the meantime, discuss ASOIAF and why GRRM is so bad at making deadlines.

Clearly I read slightly more of it than you did, and can therefore not be you. Anyway we should pipe down before we wake the dragon. GRRM fans are pretty rabid.
