How everything is according to me.

I always wanted to write a book on my perception of how things really are, how the world works, what I think the truth is, and why my perception of truth is better than yours.  Then I learned this was useless, as everyone has their own opinions, their own subjective views, and people tend to think they're right instead of adopting someone else's opinions as their own.  So not writing such a book would be fine.

On the other hand, people write books like this all the time.  Look at how many rants there are from paranoid conservatives who have to get their opinion out to every Barnes & Noble.  People do it anyway, whether it's a good idea or not.  So writing a book consisting of one's personal opinions is common enough, such books could be better written than what's available, and if the arguments are sound or thought provoking then it shouldn't be a wasted effort.

Sound, thought provoking arguments won't sell. You need crazy rants (cf. The Dumbest Generation) to appeal to anyone. These books are, by their very nature, preaching to the choir, so you need to give the choir what they want and that's it.
