By Upton Sinclair

How is it? I hear it's a faggot book for communists, but I have to read it for my History class this semester.

It's really good. You're lucky to have the chance to read it. Enjoy.

It's terrible, never read it.

Name: Anonymous 2009-01-30 23:23

It's mediocre, you could read worse, but you could read better.

Name: Anonymous 2009-01-30 23:27

It's all right, but not exactly brilliant. I say give it a go.

Name: Anonymous 2009-01-30 23:28

Best book I've ever read.

Name: Anonymous 2009-01-30 23:28

It's a bit subpar, but I wouldn't call it terrible. Not really worth reading.

Name: Anonymous 2009-01-30 23:29

Worst book I've ever read.

I envy you OP, you're about to read the greatest book ever written. FOR THE FIRST TIME. I wish I could read it fresh again. I've read it so many times I know every word by heart unfortunately.

I pity you OP, you're about to read the worst book ever written. FOR THE FIRST TIME. I'm glad I don't have to read it ever again. I've read it so many times I know every word by heart unfortunately.

If it was so terrible you wouldn't have read it so many times though would you? Ignore the trolls OP, It's the best book you'll ever read seriously.

If it was so awesome you wouldn't be so upset you've read it so many times though would you? Ignore the trolls OP, It's the worst book you'll ever read seriously.

Reread the post you linked to. He doesn't sound like he's upset he read the book so many times at all. He is just upset he will never get to experience reading it for the first time again. Perhaps you have reading comprehension issues? That would explain your criticism of this flawless book.
I agree with the posters saying this is the best book available, it changed my life more than once. You're in for a treat OP.

OP here

Just answer one thing, those of you saying the book is amazing:

Are you vegetarians?

Before reading The Jungle, I felt neutral about socialism. After reading The Jungle, I pretty much hate it. Upton Sinclair ftl.

Fuck I love this book. Upton Sinclair rips the shit out of today's writers.

OP again. You guys were right, I loved this book!

I don't believe you. I've always found Upton Sinclair, as an author, to be much too melodramatic for his own good. Not necessarily in his writing, but when he talks about how he wrote this book with his tears staining the pages. Humility is important in an artist.
