Science Fiction

This is just a rant, but what the fuck is with Science Fiction? granted not all of it is bad, like the glorious "Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy" and "Birth of Fire" and others, but the generic stuff is so bad, and no matter what other aspects of the book it focuses on one bad one that could ruin a great Sci-Fi book: a sex scene. WHY. These guys could be the best lovers in the world, but frankly their writing doesn't show it. My 11 year old self could write a more fluid sex scene, or less awkward, or even erotic, although that really doesn't have purpose in a Sci-Fi. Seriously, sex scenes just ruin a Sci-fi. Fuck. Oh yeah, and considering the genre I do doubt that they are the best lovers in the world lol.

I glance at my watch and sigh.

'I haven't got time to lie here with you. My rocket ship is getting ready to launch.'  I remove my pole from betwixt her thighs and wipe it on the space drapes.

'Won't I ever see you again?'

'No.'  I turn around and leave, spacesuit still around my ankles as she cries and cries.
