Brent Weeks Appreciation Thread

I noticed Brent Weeks' "Night Angel" trilogy at my local book store a few times and scoffed at the cover and ignored it.  Finally, I decided that it was dumb to literally judge a book by its cover, read the brief write-up on the back, thought "dark fantasy with assassins?  could be okay," and bought it.  Now I'm mid-way through the third book and loving them.  I can't find anyone else who's ever heard of the books though.  Am I the only person who's ever read them?  Is the cover just too douchey?

I've read the first book, it was entertaining. Fast-paced, rather action packed and it didn't have too shabby characterization. Doesn't bring anything new to the table, though (which isn't really a downside, but it's not an upside either), and the wetboys were so overpowered I actually felt bad for the grunts.

Either way, I enjoyed it enough to order the second book, and would have ordered the third if it wouldn't have delayed my order over Christmas.
