Improving my reading.

Alright now I want to know if there is anyways of improving my reading skills and abilities. It's not that I cannot read, because I can. It's just that I always have to repeat a line over and over again, either because I add or replace a word or just because of some random reason. This has an impact on the way I read and cannot retain anything.

I usually need to have somebody to read to me or listen to something read for me while I follow along in the word. Anyways I thought this might be a good place to ask, is there any way of improving my reading skill and/or ability?

You don't have to learn new skills. It's just a silly habit of yours you will have to purge manually. Stop doing it, read what is written, don't skip too much, don't guess more than you have to. Read the text as it is - a written flow of speech. Imagine the book it a person talking to you. You can't make it stop talking, you have to listen to it on the fly. And it never tells whatever is written in it wrong, always the right order, always the right words.
